911 Dinner Recipe…..

I love the month of May—the garden is reaching its prime, the weather is beautiful, spring is officially in full swing……..

But, May can also be CRAZY!  {Especially if you have offspring. :)}  Full of all the end-of-the-year stuff.  So glad it is June! 🙂

Here is one of our 911 Dinners that I try to always have on hand for those nights that you had a great plan—but it’s NOT going to happen!  Or, you just need a quick dinner.  Or you are going on a fun picnic—or tailgate.  This is super for both of those.

You can certainly use a homemade bread recipe—all the more wonderful; but as a 911 dinner, I keep the pre-made bread on hand to whip out at a moment’s notice!

The Versatile

Sandwich Ring Recipe

2 cans of Pilsbury French Bread Dough

+ any kind of fixins and condiments that you want!  Deli meats, meatballs, cheeses, veggies—you can even use leftovers from the fridge!  Be creative and have fun.

Directions:

Place a ramekin or small oven-proof dish in the middle of a cake pan.  Spray with cooking spray.  Use both cans of dough to form a ring–be sure to press the ends together well.  Bake according to directions.

Once the bread has cooled, slice horizontally and carefully remove the top.  Layer on whatever sandwich fillings you so desire at the moment.  Or whatever you can find in the fridge that does not have anything growing on it!  {We homeschool—so, science experiments are sometimes in the fridge–this is a legitimate step for me!}

Place the top back on and slice into individual servings and enjoy!  If you are taking this on a picnic or tailgating—wait to slice it when you arrive, it will travel better that way.

Have a Terrific Tuesday!
