I had no idea that I had a ‘gallery wall’ until the other day when someone said: “I love your gallery wall.” Ha!
In our office—or the Cape May Room, as we call it—caricatures of our family hang over the sofa. We’ve talked about adding to them over the years–but we haven’t yet.
All of these were done at theme parks like Busch Gardens, Disney, Kings Dominion, etc. We used the ones of Handsome and I in our wedding party correspondence; and we have used them in fun ways in Christmas cards. I found one a few years ago of me when I was 9 years old from Universal Studios in CA—and then another one from the same place when I was 18. I’m trying to find a fun way to incorporate them on the wall with the others—they are only 8×10’s.
Our kids were very young when they had their caricatures done–and they each chose what they wanted to be in their pics: a violinist, lifeguard, princess. It would be fun to have them done again and see what they choose this time. 🙂
For any of you that may not know—a gallery wall is just a grouping of similar items in a neat arrangement on a wall. Any wall. Up the stairs, over the sofa, in the dining room, etc. More often than not, most gallery walls are some sort of collection of similar things. I saw a really neat one not too long ago of antique rug beaters. Really cool. They covered the walls going up the stairs.
How about you…do you have a gallery wall? Did you have one and not even know it?
Hope your week is trotting along fabulously!
