Autumn Inspiration {Day 24} ::: Stowing Holiday Stuff

I don’t know about you guys….but we have a lot of holiday serving utensils, dinnerware, etc.  I didn’t want to store them in the attic—not very convenient, and I felt like they were more likely to get broken.

Enter Handsome with his tools!

With some simple plans that we found in Cottage Living magazine {Oh, where are you Cottage Living….?  I need you to come back!  My favorite magazine of all time abandoned me!}

Using pine boards Handsome built this great, long sideboard and I covered it in linen…no sew, even!  I used two pieces that meet in the middle, and then used one length of material over the middle to hide the opening. {That’s how we get to the stuff!}  You’d never know by looking at it that there is THAT MUCH STUFF stored under that material!

Autumn is a great time to organize your holiday dishes and serve ware–making it less hectic when the time comes to use them.  We entertain a lot during Christmas—and it is so nice to be able to switch out our everyday items with Thanksgiving or Christmas stuff—and only have in our cabinets what we will be using for the season. {While what we don’t need at the time is secretly stowed in our designer sideboard. :)}

Hope you are having a great Tuesday~

    • Hahahahah! I intended to organize everything so nicely—then found out if I organized it, it wouldn’t all fit! So I did what I like to call the “Creative Cram”. 🙂 I’m so glad I have Handsome….not only is her handsome, he’s handy, too! 🙂

Love to hear from you guys.......
