Christmas Story Booklet & 12 Days {Free Christmas Printables}

Can you believe that Christmas is only 4 days away!!??? I’m so excited!

We host a big Christmas dinner here at our cottage each year.  We have both sides of the family here; as well as anyone else that we find doesn’t have anywhere to go on Christmas or doesn’t have family coming in for the Christmas. {I cannot stand the thought of anyone being by themselves for Christmas…unless they really want to be.} So, we usually have a large table full….and it is always a lovely evening.

Each year I like to have special little things at each person’s place. {We already have Victorian Christmas Crackers at each person’s place…but we also like to have something else for them to take home and remember what the true reason for the season is all about.}

This year I made a special little booklet of the Christmas Story. I used the version from The Message….I just love The Message Bible translation.

I used a scan of some vintage artwork and a graphics program to create the cover. {You can also do this in any photo editing program like Picmonkey, Gimp, etc.}  I then created the three pages with the story from Luke 2.

It all prints on 1 page….and then you can cut it in quarters, stack the pages, and secure with ribbon or twine to make a little booklet. I made bunches so there will be one at each person’s place at the table on Christmas Day.

Here is the free printable if you would like some booklets of your own….just click here or on the link below and the PDF will open. You can print it on regular computer paper…but I prefer card stock…it’s a bit more durable.

Last year I created a printout using another piece of scanned vintage artwork….and then I listed the true meanings of the 12 Days of Christmas. Did you know that the reason that song was created was to spread the Gospel when it was illegal to do so? It’s like a code!

After printing them out I rolled them into scrolls and tied them with twine, and put them at each person’s place for dinner.

For those of you that have little ones I wanted to share a fun thing that we have done each year since our 3 were tiny. Did you know that you can actually track Santa on Christmas Eve!? Yes, you can! Here is the website:

The Norad Santa Tracker

You can start in the morning….it shows actual pictures of where he has already been…and has video! There is a world map that marks all of the places that he has already visited and where there are videos of him. It also shows where he is headed next! It adds unspeakable excitement to Christmas Eve. So, bookmark it and keep it up on the computer on the 24th. 🙂 You will have fun with it….I promise.

There’s actually even an app for your smartphone if you’d like it. The countdown has already started…….

Hope you enjoy these two little printables! I’m off to wrangle dust bunnies and fluff beds to get ready for Nanna & Poppa arriving!

Merry Christmas….you guys are a blessing!

  1. Thanks so much for the Christmas Story printout! I am going to print these out and send them as my Christmas cards. I wasn’t getting that done because I didn’t have the right inspiration – you just provided it! I read your blog daily and enjoy the comforts you share. Have a wonderful Christmas!

Love to hear from you guys.......
