Naturally Dyed Easter Eggs….

You guys are a treasure!

Thank you for the sweet comments and e-mails about

my daughter’s birthday post yesterday.

They blessed her, as well.

{If you’d like to read the posts about my son and

This week we had so much fun dying Easter Eggs.

We like to use natural dyes that are made from

fruits, vegetables, and spices from the kitchen.

Here are great recipes to use to do that if

you’d like to give it a try.

I love the colors that natural dyes produce.

I hope that you and your family

have a wonderful Easter!

Our Passion Tree….

Each year we spend 17 days before Easter going through a wonderful

Easter devotional called “Trail to the Tree” by Ann Voskamp.

Art is a big part of our family’s life and daily happenings….

and this lovely devotional used classic art as its activity.

Each day you read scripture {The Message} in story form,

have a thought to ponder, and prayer, and a challenge

to carry through the day.  After reading each devotion

you put the corresponding artwork on your tree.

Here is our Passion Tree from last year…..

This year we chose to have it in the living room.

To make one you just need a bunch of bare branches

and a container in which to put them.

You can visit Ann’s web site

A Holy Experience

and download “Trail to the Tree” for free.

Scroll to the bottom of the page and you will see

the instructions to download.

It is the entire devotional + the artwork that you

cut out and mount any way you wish

to hang on your tree.

It’s a very special 17 days…..

I hope you will check it out.

This entire project was free….

the free download, free branches from the woods,

and a pot that we already had.

We are on day 6 {We just do it Mon.-Fri.}

and here is the other artwork waiting to be put

on the tree on their special day.

This is even special for young children—all ages.
